Kim Bong – Thanh Ha – Tra Nhieu
Some of the deserving and must-visit destinations for a Hoi An tour are traditional handicraft villages in Hoi An. Definitely, there will be unique and astonishing things to explore when you set foot in each of the villages. Despite many traditional handicrafts diminished by the advance of technology, Hoi An still has some handicrafts in different villages that contain culture, history and a local taste of art. This trip is to visit some of the historical artifacts along the bank of Thu Bon River such as to witness the processes of creating pottery, carpentry, carving, mats, rice paper and rice wine…
Kim Bong Carpentry Village
Kim Bong Carpentry Village is situated in the north of Vietnam and has developed since the 16th century. This village is a special place where carpenters have worked to produce furniture and other items for remarkable buildings in Hanoi, Hue royal tombs and citadels, and other projects in Hoi An’s period of prosperity. Nowadays, the trip designed for tourists to Kim Bong village will let them explore the great things of its history and see carpenters working skillfully and professionally. Here, it’s not hard to find crafted wooden doors and religious statues in the souvenirs shop; there are coasters with a few dollars and large religious statues with thousands of dollars. The most renowned shop here is run by Ms. Huynh Ri; it’s the place where ships are created by utilizing traditional techniques.
Thanh Ha Pottery Village
Thanh Ha pottery village – among traditional handicraft villages – is situated in Thanh Ha ward of Quang Nam province; there are many reasons to visit this spot, and one of them is that it carries a valuable historical legacy – pottery, a significant and traditional career of locals.
